Honeyfest started at The Barge Inn, Honeystreet, in Wiltshire and is part of the Barge Inn Community Project, which is funded through Village SOS; a joint venture between BBC1 and the Big Lottery Fund which is supporting villages across the UK to start up new business ventures that rejuvenate rural and village life. In 2012 the spring event moved to a new location, and changed name to Onefest.
In 2017 the event returned this time at Camden's Roundhouse.
