Heather Music Festival 2010


Now in its 17th year, Heather Music Festival is North West Leicestershire's biggest live music event offering classical, Jazz, Folk, Rock and Cajun, and taking place from Friday 30th July until Sunday 1st August 2010.

Line-up

Bands confirmed so far are The Up Beatles, Citizen Smith, Analogue Haze, Kristy Gallacher, Red Moc Chilli Peppers, Kid Ego, My name is Jonas, Miniature Heroes, Under the driftwood Tree, Stereo Espionage, Cellar Bar Blues, Phantom Horse, Homelands , Trojan Scooters, Carlton Cole Band, Sarah Cooper, Stained Glass Alice, Los Salvadores , Little Girl Screaming, The Ashby Big Band, Propshaft, the Black Tears, Brick Out House, Warlock Swift Flasby, Storm the Front, The Shabbs , The Street, and Unplugged. There will be in the region of 40 artists confirmed for the festival. The music starts at 7.30pm on Friday and around 3pm on Saturday and Sunday.

This year the festival will be free to attend.

Venues

There are 3 venues involved in the music festival, The Queen's Head, The Crown and now at Heather St. John's football club, all literally withing crawling distance of each other. All venues will have their own big 'gig tent' in the grounds. There will be food available at both venues, and children are welcome.

Camping

There is a dedicated camping area set up at Heather St John's Football Club priced at around £5 per night and pre-booking is advisable as space is limited.

Charity

The money raised this year will be donated to the local school, and charities.
