Glastonbury Festival 2004 review

By Scott Williams | Published:

Hailing from Iceland and living in Norway, they were billed in the programme as a bit like Sigur Ros. In reality they were far from like the Icelanders in musical style. Instead we were treated to a mixture of rock and hilariously witty lyrics.

With Blackbud on before them and the heavy rain keeping many in the tent plus more people arriving to take shelter they performed before a sizeable crowd. They started poorly but after a bit of banter with the audience they started to come alive.

Norway’s version of Half Man Half Biscuit went on to perform a competent set which had us all giggling and smiling and it was nice to have a band playing who didn’t take themselves at all seriously.

None of their lyrics were in anyway politically correct but they were hilarious, once they’d received a hearty round of applause we left the New Bands tent but we didn’t care about the rain anymore in fact we were all grinning inanely!
