Avalon Stage, Sunday

Not seen them before or heard their music so can't talk track titles or the like. They were excellent, with variety of sound on each 'track'. I believe their music is known as 'psychedelic trance' (forgive me if I am wrong!!) – certainly reminded me of how Pink Floyd could have developed post DSOM if Roger Waters had not become obsessed with The Wall.

System 7

The sound was very tight and together with an excellent coordination of sound and light show.

For those not in the know, System 7 has Steve Hillage - once of Gong (and heavily associated with '70's hippiedom), and famous under his own name as a superb guitarist. He was also the guy responsible for progamming the acts for Glastonbury's first official Dance Tent in '95. Playing with him in System 7 is Miquette Giraudy. They describe themselves as "Ambient Techno" - tho I wouldn't have called this performance (which I saw) "ambient" by any stretch. - Neil.
