Glastonbury Festival 2003 review

By eFestivals Newsroom | Published:

Now this is one of those great discoveries that make you want to come back to Glastonbury again and again. Two guitarists on the Acoustic Stage playing nylon stringed acoustic guitars, backed by a violinist and a bongo player, playing the most amazing guitar music you will ever here. All the more astounding given that the Mexican duo began musical life a number of years back playing in a heavy metal outfit.

The rhythm and the excitement that such a simple combination could produce was impressive, as was the selection of tunes, mainly their own tracks from their latest album, but interspersed with such implausibles as covers of Dave Brubeck's 'Take Five' and Metallica's 'Orion'.
