Glastonbury Festival 2000

Musical highlights for us were Sugarman 3 on the Jazz stage who had a great bluesy, funky, cookin' sound - no-one could stand still. And Jools Holland who had a great set - all the better for featuring Sam Brown who we really should see more of!

Other acts we saw: Travis (disappointing), The Italian chef/juggler/acrobat in the Circus tent (great skill and brilliant entertainment), The Egg (getting better and better), Gong (so good to see them again), Helen Austin
(excellent and should have done more), Rolf Harris (couldn't get anywhere near him - he should have been on Pyramid stage after Jools on Sunday afternoon!), Moloko (great), Andy Sheppard (OK but not enough variety), John Martyn (still magic), Bowie (vocals drowned out a bit), CCQ (fantastic and did you notice their drummer playing with Sweet Lorraine?).

General comments - the music was not as good as the last few years, with Robbie Williams, The Corrs, Skunk, Tony Bennett, Blur, Courtney Pine, The Cardigans etc etc etc in previous years - this year was a bit thin on good stuff. Also, we were aware of and experienced more theft than ever before even though we were trying to be careful.

Overall a good time but last year was better.
