Glastonbury Festival 1999

By eFestivals Newsroom | Published:

Well, got there Wednesday evening and thought by Thursday night that the festival was going to be a nightmare as one of me pals got mugged in the middle of the evening and then someone tried to steal everything out of me tent in the middle of the night....but as friday started that all when by the wayside and I had the best festival since 1995.

Highlights were: Banco De Gaia and Binary Finary in the dance tent, REM (Didnt think I was going to enjoy them all that much but they were tip top), Rae & Christian and Urban Species on Saturday with my old pal Allessandro in the cabaret tent giving me the giggles all day and then being woken up by the London Community Gospel Choir on Sunday, seeing the legend that is Al Green and moshing away to Fun Lovin Criminals and Skunk Anansie, so nice to see a rock band close events on sunday night.

Once again all my freinds failed to come and there was just 5 of us this year, and oh my god how old dids I feel camping in "The Big Ground" as most of the folk there were between 15 and 20.....

Must be an old git!

Radio Avalon DJ's havnt got any better I'm glad to say and we even got out the site in 20 minutes on Monday morning.

Loved the sun and cant wait for next year.
