Folk On The Quay 2018

Folk On The Quay takes place in the Dorset town of Poole and is a FREE access and colourful folk festival happening on Saturday 30th June 2018 with ceilidhs and Morris dancing and concerts on multiple stages in the street overlooking the harbour.

Line-up

Announced acts include Jackie Oates, The Eskies, Ushti Baba, Threepenny Bit, Fly Yeti Fly, Ma Polaine's Great Decline, Whitherward, The Dilly Boys, Thom Ashworth, Hannah Scott, Antoine & Owena, Wareham Whalers, Catherine Burke Band, and Solana.

There will be three outdoor stages, with the main stage being located in the middle of the Quay on the roundabout. The road will be closed off so that Folk On The Quay can enjoy outdoor standing concerts and ceilidh dances in the late afternoon.

The Appalachian Stage is outside the Quay Amusements, and the Land Lubbers Stage is opposite the Poole Arms and The Portsmouth Hoy. Pubs on Poole Quay are entering into the spirit of the festival and will also be scheduling pub gigs. There's also good food (especially fish dishes) and real ale on tap. There will also be a host of Morris acts, children's activities, workshops, and more.

Accommodation

This event does not have camping but there are a number of hotels, hostels and guest houses in the area.
