The Feel Good Festival 2010

The Rochdale Feel Good Festival will return this summer, with organisers promising something bigger and better than ever. The celebration of entertainment, food and culture, now in its third year, will include events in both Middleton and Heywood in early August, prior to the free main attractions in Rochdale town centre on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th August.

The two day FREE event is a celebration of entertainment and culture featuring a high profile line-up of celebrity chefs and top musical artists. On the music side, The Local has provided a smorgasbord of live acts catering for all musical tastes.

Line-up

7 indoor venues will be staging live music during the festival. Headliners Lightning Seeds plus The Herbaliser, Kirsty Almeida, and Catherine Tyldesley are confirmed for the main stage on Saturday 14 August. Friday's line-up includes The Travelling Band, Dead Kestrels, and Ellen and the Escapades.
As well as the venues and main stage, street theatre is going to be taking over the town, with lots of impromptu live performances from a range of characters, and shows from Skylight Circus Arts.

The festival

The festival will include live music across a number of indoor venues and a big main stage against the backdrop of Rochdale Town Hall. Celebrity chefs Gino D'Acampo alongside Aazam Ahmad will be hosting live cooking demonstrations throughout the event which will also include a 2 day quality food market.
