East Neuk Festival 2014


The 10th East Neuk Festival is set to take place from Friday 27th June to Monday 17th July 2014 at various venues in towns throughout Scotland's East Neuk of Fife.

Line-up

The line-up of big names playing in intimate surroundings includes Alec Frank-Gemmill, Allan Clayton, Belcea String Quartet, Christian Zacharias, Clemens Schuldt, Elias String Quartet, Ensemble Marsyas, Euan Stevenson & Trio, The Gould Piano Trio, Julian Bliss, Kristian Bezuidenhout, Llyr Williams, Malin Christensson, Martin Taylor, Maximiliano Martin, Quatuor Ebene, Renaud Garcia-Fons, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, and Sean Shibe.

The littoral programme includes Artemis Cooper, Carina Contini, Graham Robb, Jennifer Potter, John Burnside, Kirsty Wark, Richard Holloway, Robert Macfarlane, Sally Magnusson, and Tim Dee.

The family events programme features Claire & Fergus McNicol, Joan Cleville, Michael John McCarthy, and Vivian French.

Initially developed from an annual short summer series of concerts given by the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, the festival was subsequently independently founded in 2004.

The arts and music event concentrates mainly on classical but also offers world, jazz, folk and electronica. In addition films, exhibitions, art installations, literature events, guided walks, and unusual concert venues – Scotland’s Secret Bunker, a Hardened Aircraft Shelter, a potato barn, a pitch dark scout hut and a cave to name just a few!.
