The 13th Download will be three days of heavy rock music featuring around 150 acts over five stages at Donington Park, the spiritual home of rock! Download will be held over the weekend of Friday 12th to Sunday 14th June 2015.

Line-up

The latest additions are The Darkness, and Young Guns.

Headliners Slipknot, Muse, and Kiss, as well as Judas Priest, Faith No More, Motley Crue, Slash, Enter Shikari, Black Stone Cherry, Marilyn Manson, Five Finger Death Punch A Day To Remember, Lamb of God, Billy Idol, Clutch, Hollywood Undead, Body Count featuring Ice-T, Eagles Of Death Metal, Godsmack, Madball, Dragonforce, Every Time I Die, Rise Against, Backyard Babies, Mallory Knox, Crown The Empire, Motionless In White, Black Veil Brides, Parkway Drive, Funeral For A Friend, Corrosion of Conformity, 36 Crazyfists, and more.

In total around 150 acts appear over five stages over the three days of the festival.

The early bird offer has ended. Prices are £180 for a weekend arena ticket, £205 for 3 nights with camping, and £215 for 5 nights with camping. Day tickets are priced at £75 fpr any day. Plus booking fees.

Deposit scheme

There was also a deposit scheme where ticket buyers can spread the cost of a festival ticket by paying a deposit of £33.25 now (Includes the booking and delivery fees), then five monthly instalments of £28 until February. The total cost of this ticket was £173.25.

Late night entertainment

The bars stay open after the entertainment has finished, and running until 2am (Friday to Sunday) they'll be an after-hours Campsite Entertainment Zone, which has a café, beer stall, funfair rides, various shops, and a cinema.

Entertainment

This year Download Festival hosts Progress Wrestling, who makes it debut with wrestlers including Jimmy Havoc. Other on site enetratinment includes Dog’s Bed open mic stage, Hair of the Dog beer and real ale house, Download’s Chapel of Love at the inflatable Church, Heavy Metal Speed Dating, The Doghouse, Comedy, Cinema, Silent Disco, Laser Tag, Demolition Download, Pop-up Art Gallery, KISS face painting, circus and mask-making Workshops, the Download Totem, and clean loos with the 'Seat of Luxury'.

VIP (RIP) accommodation

At RIP (Rest In Peace!) you can either pitch your tent (and park your car), or order glamping accommmodation (yurts, bell tents etc) and get access to 'superior' amenities, and 24 hour assistance from an event management station. The RIP campsite at Park Farm also boasts a convenience shop (Little Shop of Horrors), refreshments area (Hell's Kitchen), Eco Day Spa, Dressing room and Lockers.

This year a number of RIP packages will be situated in the Metal Meadow, a new field situated closer to the Main Arena.

RIP Metal Hotel

As well as the Park Farm and Metal Meadow options, Hotel Packages including the Metal Hotel are also available.

The 'RIP Metal Hotel', is an indoor 'pop up' hotel located on the festival site. Each room will have two beds, thermostatic climate control, an en-suite wet room with toilet, basin and shower, storage space, a flat screen TV, and secure card entry. All rooms will be serviced with with quality linen, towels and toiletries by dedicated Metal Hotel personnel, as well as offering continental breakfast.

Flag ban

Download has banned flags on sticks in the main arena.

Food and drink

You can bring your own alcohol with you if you are camping, though it will not be permitted in the music arena. Remember, no glass bottles are allowed anywhere on site, but cans of drink are fine in the campsite only. You will only be permitted to take in soft drinks in to the arena and these must be in plastic bottles no bigger than 500ml. Food can be taken in to the arena, though not in a glass container.

Expect the campsite to open at noon on Wednesday 11th June and to close at noon on Monday 16th June.

Markets include a variety of food from around the world, as well as clothes, jewellery, massages, piercing & tattoos, organic foods, souvenirs, merchandise, chairs, and other stuff.

Small children

We do not recommend you bring small children under 5 with you to Download. Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Shuttle Buses

Shuttle Buses will run from Derby and East Midlands Parkway stations regularly with a shuttle bus running from the airport at well.
