Cleethorpes Folk Festival 2004


Cleethorpes Folk Festival is a weekend celebration of folk music, song and dance with workshops and dance sessions too. Starting on Friday night at 8pm with a ceilidh, it runs through to beyond midnight on Bank Holiday Monday. The line-up is as follows:
Friday: Steve Tilston, Stony, John Spiers & Jon Boden, John Conolly and the Welcome Dance with Shindig.
Concerts start at 1.30pm and at 7.30pm with a ceilidh at 8pm on the following days:
Saturday:Performers include: John Tams & Barry Coope, Steve Tilston, Chris Newman & Márie Ní, Chathasaigh, Pete Morton, John Conolly and Bill Meek.
Sunday: Vin Garbutt, Robin Laing, Pete Morton, All Blacked Up, Grace Notes, Gerry Diver with Lisa Knapp and Steve Finn.
Monday: Robin Laing, Sara Grey, Kieron Means and Kate Lissauer and Kerfuffle.

Throughout the weekend there's Morris dancing, and plenty of other dance teams as well as appearances from: Dangerous Curves, Roaring Forties, Mark Campbell and Paul Bellamy, Robin Garside, Dave and Julie Evardson, Roger Beard, Martyn Harvey, Geoff Turner, Joe and Maureen, Arthur Knevett, Carol and Brian Massen, The Mini Morris Company and Liam Robinson as well as Sid Kipper's "Cod n Ships". For younger audiences there's also face paintiing and a Junior Folk Club with Robin Garside.
