Cleckheaton Folk Festival takes place at Cleckheaton, West Yorkshire from Friday 3rd until Sunday 5th July 2009 playing host to acts on the folk scene at venues across the town.

Artists booked to date include:
Friday: Copper Kettle, Tom Bliss, Belshazzar's Feast, Mrs Ackroyd, Jeff Parton & Liz Holland, Berkana, Bruce Michael Baillie, Blackstone Edge.
Saturday: Duncan McFarlane with Gerry McNeice, Scolds Bridle, His Worship and The Pig,4 Square, Full House, Something Nasty in the Woodshed, Ruth Notman, Eric Bogle and John Munro, John Prentice and Jill Drury, Duncan McFarlane with Anne Brivonese, Belshazzar's Feast, Tom Lewis, Russ Hughes, Copper Kettle, Beaumont Brothers, and Bruce Michael Baillie.
Sunday: Ruth Notman Trio, Tom Lewis, Cockersdale, Battlefield Band, Russ Hughes, Beaumont Brothers, His Worship and The Pig, Scolds Bridle, Berkana, Bruce Michael Baillie, Sylvia Needham, and Blackstone Edge.

Tickets are priced at £50 for an adult for the weekend. Weekend concessions are £40.00, tickets for children aged 12-16 are priced at £22.50, and children aged from 0 to 11 have free entry. Click here for the booking form.

Expect the Saturday to have a festival parade with street entertainment, dancers and fun for all the family with morris dancers, jugglers, balloon modellers and stilt walkers. On Sunday there is a Family Fun Day with dance acts, and entertainment like a Punch and Judy show. The festival has a craft fair at St John's community hall, and both a farmers' market and a European market. Local pubs host singarounds and workshops throughout the weekend and there is a festival service was held on Sunday at the Central Methodist Church.

There is a campsite available in Primrose Lane, Cleckheaton. Camping is priced at £3 for tents or caravans for weekend tickets holders are per person per night or £8 for non-ticket holders.
