Brightlingsea MusicFest 2005

Fast becoming a major event for free, live, outdoor music in North East Essex, the fifth Brightlingsea Free festival takes place with various bands and performers around the town on Friday, followed by the two stage event on the Western promenade on Saturday. Lined up to appear on the main stage this year, is Nick Harper, with a host of other local bands to be confirmed.

The festival is located just off the sea front on a large grassed area enclosed by beach huts and the open air swimming pool. Viewing is good and there is ample space to spread out the family picnic. There are cafes nearby and there food stalls will be providing alternative eating outlets on the day.

Free parking: There is a large amount of free parking but it can get pretty full – there will be an overspill car park a short walk away if necessary.
