Reading & Leeds announce Transgressive 15th Anniversary late night takeover

More entertainment has been revealed for the dual Reading & Leeds Festivals which take place at the end of August, with the Transgressive Records 15th Anniversary late night takeover of the Alternative Stage.

The Friday night at Reading features house party DJ battles from BBC Radio 1's Jack Saunders and a Circa Waves (DJ set) following their live performance earlier in the day.

In Leeds, on Saturday night there's live sets from Mystery Jets, Let's Eat Grandma, and Steel Banglez, while on the Sunday there's Transgressive Soundsystem, plus a Beyonce vs Drake DJ party hosted by Bless and Superhero DJs.

Transgressive co-founder Toby L comments: "To mark our 15th birthday year, we are now able to announce our return to Reading & Leeds, the ultimate climax to the summer. We've pushed the boat out this year, bringing Transgressive alumni Mystery Jets and Circa Waves along for the weekend, not to mention current stars Let's Eat Grandma. We've also gone big on the Sunday, to ensure the party doesn't slow down - Steel Banglez is one of the biggest pop crossover names of recent times and will keep things moving right until the bitter end. And what the hell, we're also going to throw a Beyonce versus Drake set straight afterwards, just two sets of DJs and hosts/MC’s dishing out the biggest jams from their respective catalogues. Bring on the August Bank Holiday weekend."

The dual Reading & Leeds Festivals take place at Little Johns Farm, Richfield Avenue, Reading, Berkshire, and Bramham Park, Leeds, West Yorkshire respectively, with both events happening over the four days of Thursday 23rd to Sunday 26th August 2019.
