A number pof acts have been announced for acoustic, roots and folk music event the Gate to Southwell Festival, which takes place from Thursday 6th to Sunday 9th June 2019 at Southwell, Nottinghamshire.

The early confirmations include Scotland's Skippinish, the folk-meets-rock-meets-blues of Sam Kelly and The Lost Boys, the acoustic pop-rock of Morrissey & Marshall, piratical dance band Blackbeard's Tea Party (pictured above), 'supergroup' The Tweed Project featuring Southwell favourites Greg Russell and Ciaran Algar with BBC Folk Award winners Josie Duncan and Pablo Lafuente, singer-songwriter Grace Petrie, Sunjay marking the 60th anniversary of Buddy Holly's death, Ireland's Ranagri, Edinburgh's Blue Rose Code, contemporary folk from Bird In The Belly, the madness that is John Otway & Wild Willy Barrett, French-born folksinger Flossie Malavialle, and Geordie singer-songwriter-kids-entertainer Keith Donnelly, while Saturday's concert will feature an all-star Woodstock collaboration to mark 50 years since the pivotal peace and music festival. There's much more still to be announced.

Along with the music there's dance sides from all over the UK, a beer and cider festival, a craft fair plus many other special family events.
