new classical music festival By The River in Henley-on-Thames in August

with Alfie Boe, Sir Karl Jenkins, Milos, Laura Wright, & more

A new one-day outdoor classical music festival has been announced, created by festival company Broadwick Live and in association with Classic FM. By The River will be held on the bands of the Thames at Temple Island Meadows, Henley-on-Thames on Saturday 11th August 2018.

Hosted by Classic FM presenters John Suchet and Margherita Taylor, it will have performances from Alfie Boe, Sir Karl Jenkins, Miloš, Laura Wright, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London Voices and the Royal Marines Band.  Expect the nation's favourite classical pieces accompanied by food and drink, including a Farmers' Market and the World Food Village.

festival director Neil Wyatt says: "We're delighted to present some of the greatest classical performers in the world at one of the most unique and beautiful festival sites in the UK, and we're excited to partner with Classic FM to make it happen. It's going to be an unmissable and glorious evening of music in the summertime."

Tickets are on sale, priced at £55 for an adult, and £30 for a youth (aged 12-17). Under-12s are free.
