Many more acts have been revealed for Long Division Festival, a three day event taking place at Various Venues in Wakefield, Yorkshire, from Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd June 2018.

Topping the list of announced names are The Membranes, who will be bringing their live show with a full choir to Wakefield Cathedral as part of the festival. Lead singer John Robb said: “Membranes are looking forward to returning to Long Division this time with their choir to play songs from their upcoming autumn released album that turns its attention to the beauty and violence and voluptuous essence of nature." 

Also newly confirmed are:- The Surfing Magazines, Evil Blizzard, Wiyaala, Fizzy Blood, Zozo, The Magic Of The Beatles, Dylan Cartlidge, Life, Thomas Ragsdale, I Set The Sea On Fire, Toria Garbutt, Laminate Pet Animal, Engine, The Boxing, Genevieve, Walsh, Mugen, Bearfoot Beware, Prince Omari, The Harriets, Hot Soles, Dark Dark Horse, Kermes, Broads, YOI, Silver Wilson, Sarena, Lee Satti, Beth Holland, Jamie Thrasivoulou, Floodhounds, Kieren King, Thomas & The Empty Orchestra, Laura Taylor, The Bleeding Obvious, Sux Blood, Rose Condo, Mamilah, Fig By Four, Emily Jane, Louie James, No Fixed Identity, Gemma Baker, Bedford Falls, Maya Kally, Miggie Angel, Richard Daniels, and Charlie Padfield.

They join a line-up that already includes Billy Bragg, King Creosote, Charlotte Hatherley, Helen Marnie, Cud, The Lovely Eggs, Shatner's Bassoon, Mush, Cattle & Cane, Galaxians, Drahla, Mi Mye, Team Picture, Adore // Repel, Glass Mountain, Cape Cub, Peaness, Esper Scout, The Fire Harvest, Loux, Radidas, The Golden Age Of TV, Napoleon IIIrd, Crake, Simon Widdop, Colour of Spring, The Tidy Wives, and Loz Campbell.

Long Division festival has made a pledge that 90% of its programming will be free, as part of a commitment to accessible arts in West Yorkshire. A wristband to access that 90% is free, but requires a ticket. For priority access, a Pioneer ticket is available for £25. More expensive options that help select artists are also available

The venues for 2018 are confirmed as Wakefield Cathedral, Warehouse 23, Wakefield Town Hall, The Bull Ring, Crux, Neon Workshops, Elizabethan Gallery, The Red Shed, Jolly Boys' Tap, and  Wakefield Beer Exchange.
