Deacon Blue announced as 2nd headliner for Hebcelt Festival 2018

joining Skippinish, Blazin' Fiddles, Tide Lines & more

The second headliner has been announced for Hebridean Celtic Festival - or HebCelt - based on Stornoway in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland from Thursday 19th to Saturday 21st July 2018.

Deacon Blue will close the festival on Saturday 21st, as part of their 30th anniversary tour.

The band said: “We’re really looking forward to getting Deacon Blue to the Outer Hebrides. People have been asking us for a long time and it’s great we can finally make it happen in 2018.

“We’ve heard great things about HebCelt and we look forward to joining you all there.“

Previously announced for the festival are Thursday headliners Skipinnish,as well as Blazin' Fiddles, Tide Lines, locals The Tumbling Souls, new all-female band Kinnaris Quintet with traditional Scottish and Irish, Bluegrass, old-time and classical music, Trail West, from Canada both of Vishten, and Yves Lambert Trio, and from Denmark are eight-piece band Habadekuk who blend folk, salsa and big band jazz.

Tickets are priced at £93 for adults, £83 for concessions, or £30 for children (7-14). Those aged 6 can under can attend for free.
