London Elektricity Big Band, Hacienda Classical, & more for new Highest Point in Lancaster in May

Details have been announced about Highest Point, a new festival taking place at Williamson Park, Lancaster on Friday 18th to Sunday 20th May 2018. Organised by the team that brought about A Wing at Lancaster Castle and last year's sell-out Hacienda Classical show, the 3-day city festival will be offering free, family orientated performances between 10am-4pm and ticketed partying from 4pm until late, with a variety of acts for all ages and tastes.

Friday's evening entertainment from 5pm is from drum & bass label Hospital Records, expect the likes of High Contrast, Fred V and Grafix, Danny Byrd, Spy B2B Nu:Tone, Dynamite MC, Lowqui, and Tempza. In addition, London Elektricity Big Band will be bringing together a 22 piece brass band and vocalists for a powerful and unique transformation of a live Drum and Bass show.

During Saturday and Sunday daytime, thousands of guests are expected to enjoy free family orientated performances including walking theatre, live art, bands and DJs. Saturday's line-up will be announced in January.

Sunday evening is Hacienda Classical, the project curated by DJs Mike Pickering and Graeme Park, joined by Manchester Camerata orchestra with a brand new show for 2018, performing a continuous set of signature Hacienda tracks..
