The first acts have been announced for Hebridean Celtic Festival - or HebCelt - based on Stornoway in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland from Thursday 19th to Saturday 21st July 2018.

Headlining the arena on the opening night are Skipinnish, who are joined over the weekend by Blazin' Fiddles, Tide Lines, locals The Tumbling Souls, new all-female band Kinnaris Quintet with traditional Scottish and Irish, Bluegrass, old-time and classical music, Trail West, from Canada both of Vishten, and Yves Lambert Trio, and from Denmark are eight-piece band Habadekuk who blend folk, salsa and big band jazz.

HebCelt director Caroline Maclennan said: "This is a fresh, lively set of artists which is in line with HebCelt’s aim to bring a mix of established and young talent from different cultures to our audience. It’s a great start to our 2018 programme and we will have more exciting announcements, including our other headline acts, in the coming weeks."

A limited number of early bird tickets are priced at £90 for adults, £80 for concessions, or £25 for children (7-14). Those aged 6 can under can attend for free.
