Cornwall's Electric Beach Festival which was due to take place at Great Western Beach in Newquay, Cornwall on Friday 16th and Saturday 17th June 2017, has been forced to move location following last minute licencing issues.

Despite the move, the organisers have confirmed that the music schedule will still go head as planned, at the new location of The Chy Bar & Kitchen and The Koola Club in Newquay.

Commenting on recent developments, the new lease-holders of Great Western Beach, said: "We are truly sorry for the inconvenience that the move of Electric Beach from Great Western Beach has caused. We hope the event is a great success and once again offer our sincere apologies to both ticket holders and to those due to work at the beach."

Festival Director Ben Hall states: "In light of the news from Great Western Beach lease-holders, Electric Beach Festival has been forced to move location. The event will now be taking place at The Chy Bar & Kitchen and The Koola Club with the full music line up going ahead as planned. We deeply regret the disappointment caused but hope ticket holders will be keen to join us at the new venue. Customers wishing to get a refund are advised to visit www.electricbeachfestival.co.uk for further information."

The music line-up for the festival has The Cuban Brothers, Wolf Club, Hedluv & Passman, Jeanne Naylor, and DJ Samiad on the Friday, while the Saturday has Badly Drawn Boy, Backbeat Soundsystem, Regime, Antimador, Hip Hop Kareoke, Aza Douglas, and DJ Samiad. Electric Beach Festival will also host a medley of post festival parties at The Chy Bar & Kitchen and The Koola Club.
