Black Uhuru, Family Atlantica, Skerryvore, Niteworks, Freestylers DJs, Krafty Kuts, and Habadekuk top the acts confirmed for this year's Knockengorroch World Ceilidh.

The four day festival Galloway valley festival held from Thursday 26th until Sunday 29th May 2016 will also play host to The London Bulgarian Choir, Mungo's Hi Fi Sound System, The Turbans, K.O.G & the Zongo Brigade, Orkestra del Sol, Auntie Flo, Optimo with JD Twitch & JG Wilkes, 47soul, Radical Dance Faction (RDF), Cera Impala & The New Prohibition, Awry, Afriquoi, The Dangleberries, Monosapiens, Conscious Route, Grousebeater Sound System, Urban Folk Crowd, Funke and the Two Tone Baby, Pepper Jam, Maxi Roots, SP23, Crystal Distortion, 69db, and Ixindamix, with many more still to be announced.

Organiser Liz Holmes said, "We feel it's a really special experience to listen to live bands, often who have travelled from quite far flung parts of the world, in the surroundings of the beautiful mountains of the Southern Uplands. We're really excited by our line-up this year which features live and DJ artists from all corners of the globe playing some of the best music around!"

The festival held at Knockengorroch farm, Carsphairn, Kirkubrightshire, in Scotland will feature musicians from around the world heading for the far flung location, and the programme will also include dance, spoken word, comedy and theatre, arts, music and environmental workshops, visual arts and light installations, sessions areas, open fires, kids area, real ales, global good stalls, delicious local food and drink, fire shows, sauna, and a healing area will be on site.

An early bird adult ticket is priced at £99 for 4 days, £91 for 3 days, an adult concession ticket is priced at £94 for 4 days, £86 for 3 days, Children tickets (11-15 years) are priced at £49 for 4 days, £45 for 3 days. Vehicle passes: (up to 1 tonne) £18, vehicle pass (1-3 Tonnes) £25 (including caravans towed by car/van), vehicle pass (over 3 Tonnes) £32.
