Big Top line-up announced for Common People

The line-up for the Big Top at the twin sister non-camping festival Common People which will take place over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend of Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th May 2016 on Southampton Common in Hampshire and Oxford's South Park, on the same weekend.

The Big Top line-up deatures Kurupt FM, Hospitality Takeover with Camo & Krooked, London Elektricity, Fred V and Grafix, Etherwood, Dynamite MC, MC Wrec, Amy Becker, David Rodigan, 99 Souls, and Housewurk and Back For Good in Oxford.

The Bollywood Cocktail Bus in Southampton will play host to Junk: 'Not Your Thing', Denis Sulta, Jordan McKinlay, Luca Pilato, Ronnie Spiteri, Caruana & Daniel O'Rourke , Deaf By Disco, Pete Callard, Foor, and Little Chief.

In Oxford the Sugar Skulls Cocktail Bar with Ben Gomori, Cornerstone Soundsystem, Ghettospheric, Mim & Thirsty, DJ Giles, Joel Kane, DJ Hecktick, Jasper James, Em Williams, James Weston, Xavier, Tim Gore, Tom Baker, Stav, Dan Gascoyne, and Burt Cope.

Oxford’s South Park will also have the Disco Shed on hand with Count Skylarkin, Kerry&Casio, DJ FU, Harvey K-Tel, Gregs Greats, Alex 19 From Wigan, Jason 'The Cat' King, Peepshow Paddy, Del Gazeebo, Em Williams, DJ Dapper Dan, Trol23, JJ Maurage's Reggae Bingo, and Miss Splinters.

There are still lots more local acts and a whole world of Bestival’s immersive antics and high jinx still to announce.

Common People boss Rob da Bank said, "Well, what can I say? Some of my favourite DJs, new and old, are coming to our joint Common People shebangs in Southampton and Oxford. Rodigan is a legendary party starter and reggae god, Kurupt FM are the funniest, funkiest garage crew ever and Hospitality promise to bring the jungliest ruckus... See you down the front."

They will be joining Duran Duran, Katy B, Primal Scream, Craig David, Public Enemy, Gaz Coombes, Ghost Poet, Kurupt FM, Hospitality, Ram Jam, and many more, plus there’s still a whole raft of bands, DJs and outlandish action to announce.

The event will also offer immersive family fun each day with Bestival regulars, entertainers, an array of venues, bars and food including Street Food, Cocktail Bars, the Uncommon Stage, which will be presented by Nightshift in Oxford and The Joiners in Southampton, The People’s Front Room, the Knitting Tent, the Bigtopmania Circus, cocktails galore from The Jam Jar Bar and fantastic arts & crafts, our ace kids area, bouncy castles and more!
