Primal Scream are headlining the 3rd annual Electric Fields, which will take place over two days this year on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th August 2016, in Scotland.

Also unveiled to appear in the grounds of the 17th century Drumlanrig Castle, which has a limited capacity of 5,000, are Everything Everything, The Twilight Sad, Public Service Broadcasting, and Model Aeroplanes.

Edinburgh’s Sneaky Pete’s will be hosting their own stage and the first names to be announced for it are Erol Alkan, and Joy Orbison.

Electric Fields has also revealed that the Tim Burgess-curated Tim Peaks stage replete with secret sets and an eclectic variety of artists, will also be planted at Electric Fields. The first artist to be revealed is actor Paddy Considine's Riding the Low.

There are more acts to be confirmed.

Electric Fields co-founder Nick Roberts said, "We’re incredibly excited to bring Primal Scream to Electric Fields this August. They have created some of the greatest music these islands have produced and are right at the top of their game. The rest of the line-up compliments the whole nature of the festival brilliantly and we’re delighted to have this legendary band spearheading it for us. With our new two-day format, we’re able to bring even more incredible acts to the beautiful estate at Drumlanrig Castle and we can’t wait to welcome everyone come August."

The site is approximately 90 minutes drive south of Glasgow / Edinburgh and 90 minutes north of Carlisle.
