Following the terrible flooding that has caused a huge amount of damage to resident's homes in Cumbria, Kendal Calling have donated £5000 to the Cumbria Flood Appeal and launched a JustGiving page to help raise funds. They've also put together some raffle prizes for those kind enough to donate.

The floods hit after the devastating recent storms which took place during the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th December throughout Cumbria, and those wishing to donate can give money on the JustGiving page, (here), to support individuals and families whose homes have had significant structural damage or flooding.

Festival organisers commented, "Our thoughts go out to everyone who has been affected by the devastating Cumbria Floods over the weekend caused by Storm Desmond. The picturesque fields of Cumbria are Kendal Calling's home. To support the good work of the Cumbria Community Foundation we have set up a JustGiving page and donated £5000 to kick it off."

All those wishing to donate will be entered into a raffle to win an array of festival prizes including boutique camping and weekend tickets to Kendal Calling and weekend tickets to Parklife. Prizes include a pair of tickets to both Kendal Calling 2016 with boutique camping AND Parklife Festival 2016, Forgotten Fields Festival tickets, Emperors Fields tickets for Kendal Calling, a years supply of Tim Peaks Coffee, a £200 Ticketline voucher, a box of Kendal Calling Tea, and more added daily. Winners will be drawn on Tuesday 15th December.

Kendal Calling's 11th celebration next year is held over the weekend of Thursday 28th to Sunday 31st July 2016 returning to the Lowther Deer Park, Hackthorpe, in the Lake District.
