tickets on sale date announced for Sark Folk Festival 2016

Tickets for the 7th annual Sark Folk Festival will go on sale at midday on Saturday 7th November 2015. Tickets for the 2015 festival sold out in a day just as they did last year.

The festival which takes place on the Isle Of Sark, Channel Islands from Friday 1st until Sunday 3rd July 2016 features a line-up that consists of home-grown talent from the Channel Islands as well as artists from the UK and France, more than forty acts in total. There are no acts confirmed yet for 2016.

Organisers say, "As in previous years, we expect demand for tickets to be very high with the 2015 festival selling out in under an hour.

"Acts for 2016 will be announced soon after tickets have been sold, and once again the organisers can promise a varied programme of both established and up and coming acts from the UK and beyond, as well as a large selection of local artists from around the Channel Islands."

An adult weekend ticket is priced at £70, and £50 for a weekend concession (OAPs and students) ticket, children aged 12 years and under can attend for free.Children must have a valid ticket so that organisers can manage numbers on site. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

A Friday only ticket was priced at £40 for adults and £30 concessions. A Saturday only ticket was priced at £45 for adults and £35 concessions. A Sunday only ticket was priced at £30 for adults and £20 concessions.

Ticket price does not include camping this is at a nearby campsite area at a price of around £7 per night.

Tickets are sold on a first come first served basis. To reduce the risk of bulk buying, purchases will be limited to six tickets per transaction.Tickets are for entry to the festival only and do not include travel or accommodation, which must be organised by the ticket holder.
