Brighton's Together The People adds Billy Bragg, Roots Manuva, The Xcerts, & more

including Half Crown, Glass City Vice, Chris Simmons, MOK, and Scott Matthews

Billy Bragg, Roots Manuva, The Xcerts, Half Crown, Glass City Vice, Chris Simmons, MOK, Scott Matthews, Jacko Hooper, Yonaka, Kudu Blue, Normanton Street, and Neon Saints Brass Band have been announced for Together The People - a new 5,000 capacity greenfield, non camping, music and arts festival taking place in Preston Park, in Brighton on the Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th September 2015.

Also confirmed for the Folklore Stage are Mike Dignam, Jack Watts, Deidre Faegre, George Ogilvie, Daisy Jean Russell, Bella Spinks, Aniseed Treats, Oktoba, Sam Jordan, Bess Atwell, Christopher Matthewson, Josh Mac, Paper Hawk, and Matthew The Oxx.

They join the first acts confirmed who were Super Furry Animals, Levellers, Lucy Rose, Public Service Broadcasting, Ghostpoet, Lucy Spraggan, Dizraeli and the Small Gods, and Brakes.

The Soapbox Stage will feature Hammer & Tongue, Beach Hut Writers, Sea Shepherd UK, Brighton Housing Trust, Future Brighton Debate, and Revolution #10 By Joseph Young

Plus family fun with Horrible Histories, and Cat In The Hat, as well as The Incredible Moving Picturehouse, Bimm Stage, Resident Music Pop-Up Shop, Street Diner’s Street Food Revolution, and Art Installations & Workshops.

Local pre-sale tickets went on sale at 9am today and run for 7 days when tickets will move to full-price. Local pre-sale tickets are priced at £70 + booking fee, tickets for children aged 11-15years are priced at £37.50, and free entry to all children and infants under the age of 11yrs..

On site there will several bars serving beverages from local breweries, as well as a market/diner area which will house local independent food, clothing and arts concessions. Expect also visual art, a series of pop up galleries around the site for artists to use for live and exhibition purposes.

The event is not offering camping.
