SummerTyne Americana Festival offers a gumbo mix of American roots music from fiery tex-mex to classic country and blues, the newest southern soul and Americana, as well as some down-home cajun and bluegrass.

Acts also confirmed today are The Shires, Jace Everett, Naomi Shelton & The Gospel Queens, Cedric Burnside, The McCrary Sisters, Gruff Rhys with 'American Interior', and The Felice Brothers.

The free DFDS Seaways Outdoor Stage in its riverside setting will host a line-up including The James Hunter Six, Ward Thomas, Marty O'Reilly & The Old Soul Orchestra, Moreland & Arbuckle, Della Mae, John Lewis Rock'N'Roll Trio, Suzette & The Neon Angels, Hillfolk Noir, Lewis & Leigh, Dom and the Iko's, The Hallelujah Trails, The Lost Brothers, Mush, Big Red & The Grinners, King Size Voodoo Traveller, Miss Mary & The Mr Rights, Gilded Thieves, Michael Littlefield, El Cid, Caroline Mary, and Steve Drayton.
