WOMAD adds 25 more acts from around the world

including Laura Mvula, Tiken Jah Fakoly, Mahmoud Ahmed, Ghostpoet, Souad Massi, & The Correspondents

WOMAD has added 25 more acts to the line-up coming to the Wiltshire countryside at the picturesque site in Charlton Park, near Malmesbury from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th July 2015, with early entry available on Thursday.

Bringing together many forms of music, arts and dance from countries and cultures around the world on seven separate stage and workshop areas the latest additions a led by Laura Mvula, Tiken Jah Fakoly, Mahmoud Ahmed, Ghostpoet, Souad Massi, and The Correspondents.

WOMAD stands for World of Music, Arts and Dance, and brings together many forms of music, arts and dance from countries and cultures around the world on seven separate stage and workshop areas.

Also added to the bill are a mix of WOMAD favourites and debutants including Count Drachma, Delaney Davidson, Hossam Ramzy and his Egyptian Orchestra, Ibeyi, Jambinai, King Naat Veliov's Original Kocani Orkestar, Lee Fields & The Expressions, Luke Vibert, Bolivia's Luzmila Carpio, Noura Mint Seymali, Orlando Julius and The Heliocentrics, Buenos Aires' Orquesta Tipica Fernandez Fíerro, Red Baraat, and London's Anglo-Bangladeshi Afrobeat Latin band Lokkhi Terra will be joined by Shikor Bangladesh All Stars

Plus the UK's own Spiro, Tibet's The Monks from Tashi Lhunpo Monastery, Tigran, Mongolian throat folk rocker Tulegur, and The Very Best - the collaboration between London producers Radioclit and Malawian singer Esau Mwamway.

These acts join the impressive list of performers who've already been confirmed for WOMAD Charlton Park 2015 who are De La Soul, Tinariwen, Bellowhead, 47 Soul, Acholi Machon, Aurelio, Banda Magda, Dona Onete, ESKA, Ester Rada, Kala Chetena Kathakali Company, Kim Churchill, L’Hijâz’Car, Malmesbury Schools with Tomorrow's Warriors, Molotov Jukebox, Orange Blossom, Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp, Osaka Monaurail, Sagapool, Shantel & Bucovina Club, Sona Jobarteh and Swindle.

The early bird offer has ended. Weekend tickets - which are valid from the Friday until Sunday are priced at £165 (Thursday arrivals will also need a Thursday camping ticket costing £30).

Children 13 and under can come free with each adult ticket holder, but need a free child ticket. All children must hold their own ticket and must be accompanied by a ticket holding parent or guardian over the age of 21. One ticket holding parent or guardian can only accompany up to 4 people under the age of 18. Thursday tickets do not need to be purchased for children aged 13 and under.
