HebCelt Festival adds a dozen more acts

with Le Vent du Nord, Chastity Brown, Raghu Dixit, Lindsay Lou & The Flatbellys, Jamie Smith's Mabon

12 bands and singers have been added to the programme for the four-day 20th Hebridean Celtic Festival.

Lead by Minneapolis singer songwriter Chastity Brown, and Canadian folk musicians Le Vent du Nord, the news additions also include Raghu Dixit, Michigan roots ensemble Lindsay Lou & The Flatbellys, Jamie Smith's Mabon, Karen Matheson who will be heading her own band which will include husband and fellow founder member of Capercaillie, Donald Shaw., Siobhan Miller, Iain Morrison, Halcyon, new band Malin, Sunshine Social, and Earths.

Afro Celt Sound System, Treacherous Orchestra, and The Elephant Sessions, were previously confirmed for this year’s event.

HebCelt director Caroline Maclennan said, "We are delighted to confirm these next additions to the 2015 line-up. They represent an exciting mix of well-established and emerging talent, Scottish performers and international artists which added to those already announced will help us prepare a party to remember for our 20th anniversary.

"We look forward to adding more names to the line-up in the coming weeks."

The 20th HebCelt, based in Stornoway in the island of Lewis, Stornoway in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland from Wednesday 15th to Saturday 18th of July 2015

Tickets are being held at the 2014 prices of £79 for the weekend (£61 for concession and £19 for children under 14) for the main arena events.
