Flying Lotus, Future Islands, Ida Jenshus, Run the Jewels, Thea Hjelmeland, Moster!, Torgeir Waldemar, Fay Wildhagen, and Spectral Haze are the first nine acts announced for Norway's Oya festival.

Øya festival is the largest outdoor music festival in Oslo, Norway and promotes a diverse line up from across the globe. Now in it's 17th year, the festival returns to it's new home Tøyenparken in Sofienberg, Oslo from Tuesday 11th until Saturday 15th August 2015.

Øya will close the main street between all three areas and join the two parks to become one huge area.  Despite the new site being bigger than its predecessor, Øya will still have a 60,000 capacity allowing for more space and a comfortable experience.

Ticket prices have not been announced and go on sale on tomorrow, Thursday 27th of November, and we'll have links to buy them then.

Øya is one of the most environmentally friendly festivals in Norway, boasting 100% ecological food and green ethics.  It is equipped with stages, shopping streets and small shops serving food and drink (almost 100% organic and locally sourced).  There’s a focus on fresh meat, fish and vegetarian dishes with a special focus on organic food from small-scale producers
