The first acts have been announced for Tim Peaks' Diner curated by Tim Burgess offering Q&A’s, talks, DJs, surprise sets will be returning to the 'outer space' themed Kendal Calling

Situated in a log cabin, Tim Peaks opens from 10am and although scheduled to finish at 10pm, Tim Peaks Diner is often still in full swing at 3am!

Frankie And The Heartstrings who will bring their record shop, Wigan Young Souls with their northern soul sevens and the dance moves, Albert Albert, Seahawks whose forthcoming album features Tim Burgess, Pete McKee the artist responsible for the Tim Peaks artwork with The Everley Pregnant Brothers, Bonehead's track by track run through of (What's the story) Morning Glory?, Kitch, The Hummingbirds, and Bird To Beast.

Mint Royale, Simon Rimmer (DJ Set), Felix Hall, Sarah Walters, and professor Tim O'Brien from the Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics and the BBC’s Stargazing series bringing the science.

Tim Burgess said, "Our amazing log cabin will once again be the place to be for damn fine cherry pie, secret gigs, not so secret gigs, fantastic coffee, brilliant music and unforgettable memories. Plus we've got our own astrophysicist and a record shop too!"

The join Friday headliner Suede, and Saturday's headliner Frank Turner And The Sleeping Souls. Kendal Calling festival offers array of performance art, comedy and spoken word with decent food, a real ale festival, the dedicated children’s Ladybird Arena and much morr, over the weekend of Friday 1st to Sunday 3rd August 2014, with early entry available on the Thursday. Kendal Calling returns to the Lowther Deer Park, Hackthorpe, in the Lake District.
