Punk pop heroes Buzzcocks, and local Ska stars The Selecter have been added to the main stage line-up for the Midlands' biggest three-day FREE festival Godiva Festival, attracting over 100,000 people from Friday 4th until Sunday 6th July 2014 at War Memorial Park.

Pete Shelley, lead singer and one of the founder members of Buzzcocks, said, "Playing at Coventry’s Godiva Festival in the summer gives our fans a great opportunity to hear a couple of new songs from our forthcoming album plus of course some of the older songs that people will know and want to hear us play live.

"It’s great that we’re also going to be playing alongside The Selecter again as well, so we’re all looking forward to meeting up and seeing everyone in Coventry this July."

They join Saturday main stage headliners Happy Mondays, and Skabilly Rebels, who will be performing in the Rhythm Tent on Saturday night. They are the first acts to be revealed for this year's line-up.

Godiva will be covering music to suit all tastes and featuring the ever-popular Godiva Unsigned, showcasing fresh, local talent.

In addition to live musical the free and ticketless event was also hosts an annual carnival, a fairground and many more family and community based activities and entertainment.
