1st acts announced for Village Pump Folk Festival 2014

Joe Brown, The Blues Band, Martin Simpson, and Seth Lakeman lead the first acs to be confirmed for the Village Pump Folk Festival taking place from Friday 25th until Sunday 27th July 2014, at the White Horse Country Park, in Wiltshire.

Also confirmed today are Gigspanner, Steve Knightley, Belinda O'Hooley & Heidi Tidow, Cathryn Craig and Brian Willoughby, Vin Garbutt, Rob Lear, Baraka, Holt Morris, 3 Daft Monkeys, Miranda Sykes & Rex Preston, The Panic Brothers, Rosie Eade, Jimmy Lee and the Edge of Chaos Orchestra, Up The Creek, Merv Grist Players, The Village Pump Choir, Phillip Henry and Hannah Martin, Gren Bartley, The Willows, Billy in the Lowground, Georgia Lewis, Tim Graham, and Lazibyrd. Festival goers can also expect loads of workshops and The Village Pump Folk Quiz.

Tickets are not yet on sale. Weekend tickets will be on sale from 1st December 2013, and eFestival will have links to buy them when available. A limited offer of an ‘early bird price’ will apply until 31 March 2014. This price is £110 including camping, for an adult weekend ticket, with half price tickets for young people aged 10 to 17, under10s are still free. Booking fees are also applied to the ticket price. Anyone under18 must be accompanied by a full paying adult.

From 1 April 2014 ticket prices will increase to £120 which will include camping , half price for young people as above.

Attendees can expect music over two main stages, plus smaller sessions, children's entertainment, comedy, workshops, beer, and trade stalls selling food.
