Belladrum Tartan Heart adds The 1975, Nina Nesbitt, and Talisman

plus more acts for sold out festival

The 1975, Nina Nesbitt, and Talisman lead the latest acts to be added to the line-up at the sold-out 'Carnival' themed Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival which takes place in the picturesque surroundings of Belladrum Estate, near Beauly in Inverness-shire, Scotland on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd August 2013.

Also added are The Leonard Jones Potential, The Elephant Sessions, and High Life Fiddle Forte, whilst added to the goNorth Seedlings Stage line-up are Camp Stag, Dingus Khan, Miniature Dinosaurs, Birdhead, Furry Vengeance, and Fat Suit.

Festival goers have also been given the chance to appear in 'Bella's Got Talent' by submitting videos of their talents to bellatalent@tartanheartfestval.co.uk . The best will be invited to perform on the Venus Flytrap Palais stage on Friday 2nd August and four finalists will go forward to a final in the same venue on the Saturday. 

Organisers are looking for all kinds of talent including dance, comedy and novelty acts as well as music. "We know there is a wealth of talent out there in the Bella community. We wanted to give people a chance to show it off," said festival promoter Joe Gibbs.

The festival will feature music coming from around 90 acts across five stages including the previously announced headliners James, and Twin Atlantic, plus The Straits, Noisettes, The Horrors, King Charles, Admiral Fallow, Seasick Steve, The Pigeon Detectives, Julie Fowlis, Alabama 3, Malcolm Middleton, We Are The Ocean, Baby Strange, Frank Hamilton, Withered Hand, Ferocious Dog, Southern Tenant Folk Union, The Boy Who Trapped The Sun, Anderson McGinty Webster Ward and Fisher, Andy Burrows (I Am Arrows), Gentleman's Dub Club, Meursault, Washington Irving, PAWS, The Lafontaines, Tich, Nick Mulvey, MacFloyd, and Springsteen Sessions.

Also confirmed are Rumours of Fleetwood Mac, Peatbog Faeries, Lucy Spraggan, Jacob Banks, Dougie MacLean, Martin Carthy, Gavin James, Rick Redbeard, Stealing Sheep, Shipcote, It's A Beautiful Day, Treetop Flyers, The Dangleberries, Jericho Hill, Filth DJs, Ally Macrae, Them & Us, Count Clockwork, Ally Ridgers, Mike MacDonald, Bullwhack, Esberg, Jakk-It & Saizme, Connor Bryne, Alottarhythmman, Shameless DJs, Aaron Russell, Digitized, and Alan Grant, Victorian Trout Conspiracy, Fatherson, Skyhook, Brown Bear & The Bandits, Skerryvore, Feis Rois, Caledonian Ceilidh Trail, and Toby Michaels Rolling Damned.

The comedy line-up includes Des Clarke, Billy Kikwood, The Wee Man, Chris Conroy, John McGoldrick, and Chris Brooker.

Belladrum offers plenty of interest aside from the music, including an array of entertainment for children, although the fairground rides will not be on site this year. Attractions include street theatre, cabaret, cinema, dance, alternative therapies, stalls, food and drink.

Tickets were priced at £95, and have sold out for the fifth year in a row.
