German thrash metallers Kreator, and US thrashers Overkill will co-headline next March's Hammerfest VI – Book Of The Dead.

Joining the Hammerfest party are two Swedish Death Metallers Soilwork on Friday, and Viking metallers Unleashed.

Also announced for the Hammerfest 2014 bill are Swedish Metal act Grand Magus, Belgium Black Metallers Enthroned, speed/power metal veterans Paragon (who play the UK for the first time following a 23 year career in Germany), Nottingham Alternative Metal act Earthtone9, Gibraltar's flamenco metallers Breed 77 plus Anihilated, and Gravil, with more acts still to be announced.

Hammerfest promoter John Davis of Chic Talent said, "Following last year's event, which included both Sodom and Destruction, we were really keen to have Germany's other leading thrash metal act play at Hammerfest. We are glad to be able to announce Kreator's inclusion in this year's bill. Last year's event was considered by many to be our best yet. Thriving in its new location Hafan y Mor Park, North Wales, we aim to raise the bar higher still."

Bringing heavy metal to Wales for an enjoyable weekend, Hammerfest's atmosphere remains upbeat throughout the festival, and despite the frightening amount of alcohol being consumed in all corners, there is rarely if ever any trouble from to be found. This is a festival which really does exist for the music.

Hammerfest the festival for metal fans run by the people put on Hard Rock Hell and Metal Hammer returns for its sixth Egyptian Afterlife inspired year. Hammerfest VI – Book Of The Dead will take place from early arrival party Thursday 13th to Saturday 15th March 2014 returning to Haven, the Hafan y Mor Holiday Park at Pwllheli, Gwynedd, in North Wales with an Ancient Egypt theme.
