comedy line-up for Festival No. 6

Festival No. 6 taking place in Portmeirion, Wales has revealed the comedy line-up this year with Mark Thomas, Justin Moorhouse, Wes Zaharuk, Paul McCaffrey, James Acaster, Romesh Ranganathan, Charlie Baker, Steve Royle, Danny McLoughlin, and Dan Nightingale all confirmed.

Poet John Cooper Clarke leads the arts and culture strands with guests already confirmed including DBC Pierre, Jan Morris, Tracey Thorn, Caitlin Moran, John Niven, Paul Morley, Gavin Turk, Serafina Steer, Viv Albertine, Bob Stanley, and Michael Smith.

Joining them will be Ramy Essam, Dorian Lynskey, the Brythoniaid Male Voice Choir, Joe Dunthorne, Matt Haig, Glen Duncan, Harry Leslie Smith, Tales of Whatever, Literary Death Match, and Vagenda will also be speaking at the festival.

New for 2013 is Joe Duddell (Elbow, Nero, James) as Composer in Residence creating a series of unique, bespoke performances over the weekend. Another new addition this year is The No.6 Carnival, which will take place on Saturday afternoon with the theme of 'I Am Not A Number' organized by Walk The Plank.

Warp Films and Shane Meadows (This Is England) will be screening 'Made of Stone', the film about The Stone Roses, and there's the No.6 Short Film Cinema, curated by director Simon Ellis. Director and writer Colin O'Toole will also be shooting the No.6 Short Film in Portmeirion over the weekend, with cameos from some of the stars of No.6. Punters will also get the chance to play bit parts.

Salon No.6 hosted by the founders of Salon London and Salon North, will present a weekend of talks and discussions on the subject of Identity, inspired by 'I Am Not A Number, I'm a Free Man' plus guests including Helen Bagnall, Juliet Russell, Phillippa Perry, Natalie Nahai, and Art Macarbe.

Don't Tell Stories trails will be bringing the magical Gwlythe Wood to life with a series of pop-up acoustic performances and woodland raves throughout the weekend with Museum No.6, curated by the Manchester Museum offering guided walks, foraging in the woods, and the opportunity to 'Museum speed date', a one on one session with the museum experts. There will also be Urban Sketching classes throughout the weekend.

Bands, DJs, musicians and string ensembles will be performing across the entire site, from the historic town hall to the Colonnade gardens to the picturesque Bay Stage and the promenade along the estuary of the River Dwyryd from Friday 13th until Sunday 15th September 2013.

Making an exclusive festival appearance Manic Street Preachers will headline, plus Chic featuring Nile Rodgers, James Blake, Everything Everything, I Am Kloot, Neon Neon, Lianne La Havas, Tricky, Daughter, Wire, AlunaGeorge, Laura Mvula, The Staves, Mount Kimbie, Clinic, Caitlin Rose, Chapel Club, Dutch Uncles, Jagwar Ma, Sweet Baboo, Temples, Charlie Boyer and The Voyeurs, Indians, London Grammar, The Leisure Society, Money, Melt Yourself Down, Mary Epworth, Dan Croll, Wave Machines, Sivu, Islet, Sam Airey, and Hookworms.

The DJ line-up will include Frankie Knuckles, Carl Craig, Andrew Weatherall, Gilles Peterson, Daddy G, Horse Meat Disco, Will Sergeant, Crazy P, Psychemagik, Sancho Panza, Pete Herbert, Low Life, Heavenly Social DJs, Jagz Kooner, Dicky Trisco, AOR Disco, Guy Williams, Sophie Lloyd, Richard Hector-Jones, Bernie Connor, Nadia Ksabia, Neal Schtuum, Justin Robertson, Greg Wilson, Maxxi Soundsystem, Daniel Avery, San Soda, Unabombers, Futureboogie, Krysko, Content DJs, Balearic Mike, and Bobby Irish.

Early bird adult weekend tickets with camping are priced at £170, a young persons weekend camping ticket (aged 11 - 15 years) is priced at £85, with under 10s free.

Day tickets are also available priced at £65 for an adult ticket, a young person ticket (aged 11 - 15 years) is priced at £40, with under 10s free.

Tickets can be paid off in two instalments, 50% now and the remaining 50% by 1st March 2013.

Early camping on Thursday is available for an additional £10 per ticket.
