Chic featuring Nile Rodgers will be special guests to The xx at Cornwall's Eden Sessions on Tuesday 2nd July.

Disco superstars CHIC feat. Nile Rodgers, who worked with Daft Punk on their current number one 'Get Lucky' have been stalwarts of the disco, pop and hip-hop scenes since their formation in the late seventies. The Biodomes will be shaking to 'Le Freak', 'I Want Your Love', 'Everybody Dance', 'My Forbidden Lover, 'Good Times', and more with Rodgers producing on albums including David Bowie's 'Let's Dance', 'Like a Virgin' by Madonna, and he also featured on Michael Jackson's 'Money', from the 'HIStory' album. Nile Rodgers said, "We're looking forward to setting the Eden Project alight with the sound of disco in July and are proud to be special guests to the incredible xx. Get ready..."

The xx added, "Chic and Nile Rodgers have been enormously influential on modern-day music, including our own. It's a surreal honour having them play with us at the Eden Sessions."

Rita Broe, Eden's Strategic Marketing Director, said, "Nile Rodgers is a living legend and it will be a privilege to welcome him to the Sessions. He has written some of the best disco tracks in history as well as producing for some of the greatest artists of all time. This will be an amazing Session!"

This summer's Eden Sessions will their twelfth edition. The Sessions are famed not only for bringing top acts to Cornwall but also for their festival feel, with extra bands and entertainers playing around the site in the run-up to the main event.

The xx are one of the five headliners to be announced for the 2013 Eden Sessions, joining comic Eddie Izzard (3rd June), Kaiser Chiefs (29th June), Sigur Rós (30th June), and Jessie J (13th and 14th July) are the other acts confirmed to headline Sessions next year. Eden Sessions have become more like a one-day festival, with three stages and acts playing from early afternoon on each day.

Tickets for sessions are priced at £35. Every Sessions ticket includes entry to Eden on the day of the show or the day after.
