Those festival goers who bought tickets to last year's cancelled Rhythm Festivals 2012 due to be held over the August bank holiday weekend at Mansion House, in Bedfordshire are offered free tickets Wickahm Festival 2013 as an alternative.

Rhythm Festival organiser Jim Driver has announced that the event will not be making a comeback in 2013. He said, "I am very sad to announce that there will not be a Rhythm Festival in 2013. I have really tried my hardest to get a festival organised, but the financial problems of Rhythm Company Limited have proved insurmountable. The simple truth is that the company has no money, no assets, and will inevitably go into receivership. I am very sorry to say that anyone who is still owed money (which includes myself to the tune of many thousand pounds) will not be getting anything back from the company."

Jim has arranged with the Organiser of the Wickham Festival in Hampshire, Peter Chegwyn, a deal to offer free weekend tickets for Wickham to any Rhythm ticket-holder who has not received a refund or applied and received a chargeback for their 2012 Rhythm Festival tickets.

This means they can exchange their Rhythm tickets for Wickham tickets (worth £135 each) and still enjoy a festival this summer. The only charge will be if festival goers wish to camp, with that charged at an additional £25 per tent, caravan or motorhome for the weekend, which will pay for additional campsite facilities.

Those wanting to take up this offer email Jim with their ticket details (if possible) and they will be contacted by Wickham within 28 days.

Wickham is being held over the weekend of Thursday 1st to Sunday 4th August 2013 and is has much the same family friendly vibe as Rhythm. Acts already booked to appear include The Waterboys, Rolf Harris, Seth Lakeman, Show of Hands, The Blockheads, Shooglenifty, Moulettes, Slim Chance and many more. For more information on Wickham, click here.

Because Rhythm Company has no money and no assets, if you are still owed for 2012 Rhythm Festival tickets and you do not want to receive tickets for Wickham, the only chance of getting money back is to try and claim the cost from your bank or credit card company's insurance. If you were holding 2012 tickets and waiting for news of a Rhythm Festival in 2013, this is news of its official cancellation.
