Tomorrow being the 14th February, or Valentines Day, Wickerman is going offer music loving romantics the opportunity to propose to their partner in a new Wicker Love Lounge - a unique festival setting created especially for this year's event.

The Love Lounge will be set in a luxury handcrafted on-site yurt which will be lavishly decorated to create the ultimate romantic setting. Proposing partners will be able to seal the deal with bespoke wicker promise rings and a wicker kneeling stool to pop the question, both of which will be handcrafted by the iconic Wickerman craftsman. Wild flowers, celebratory champagne, a dedicated love lounge host and a personalised playlist will all make the moment extra special.

Wickerman Festival Coordinator Helen Chalmers sayid, "If music be the food of love, then this year's festival is the perfect place to 'play on' and we are delighted to launch our first Wicker Love Lounge. Wickerman has a reputation for being one of Scotland’s most relaxed and friendly festivals and it is also becoming known as quite a romantic event. From last year's Wicker wedding which was covered on BBC3's 'Don't Tell the Bride' to the spectacular flyby aeroplane proposal, more and more festival goers are professing their love on-site. We have already had a 2013 wedding request and are hopeful that our new Love Lounge will provide a truly original proposal setting."

To win one of the twelve 'Wicker Love Lounge' slots, which will take place between 5pm – 7pm on both days of the festival, entrants must submit 100 words on how they met their partner and why they want to propose at the Wickerman Festival. Entries will be accepted from the 14th February to 14th April 2013 via wickerlovelounge@burtgreener.co.uk. Successful entrants will be notified by 30th April and arrangements made to ensure that their unique Wicker proposal stands the best chance of receiving a 'yes'!

The happy couple will see Primal Scream headline Friday, and a line-up the goes across ten stages including Public Service Broadcasting, and many more. As always, the weekend festivities will be brought to a spectacular close with the crowd-gathering tradition of burning the 40ft Wickerman statue at midnight on Saturday.

Ticket prices are £95 for Weekend adult tickets, £47.50 for Weekend concession tickets, £65 for Saturday adult tickets with tickets free for under 12's. For all those taking caravans or campervans to Wickerman a basic pitch is priced at £40 or £90 for a pitch including an electric hook up.

Everyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult and bring proof of age - anyone without proof of ID will be liable to pay the full adult ticket price at the gate. We also recommend anyone who looks under 21 to bring ID with them. The ages shown on the tickets refer to the age of the child/concession on the day of the festival (not the age at time of purchase).

The Wickerman Festival takes place at East Kirkcarswell Farm in Dumfries & Galloway and takes place from Friday 26th and Saturday 27th July, 2013.

Once again the full line up will feature an eclectic and sometimes surprising mix of leading artists, alternative acts and exciting emerging talent, so whether its Primal Scream or Public Service Broadcasting stirring up the crowds with sizzling sets, we are certain that Wickerman 2013 will be one of the most relaxed, fun and friendly festivals of the summer.

No other acts are confirmed yet. As well as the the music Wickerfans have enjoyed grass sledging, fun fairs, dance lessons, headphone disco, movie screenings, wood carving and even ice skating at previous festivals.
