The Friday headliner for The Mostly Jazz, Funk & Soul Festival which returns to the surroundings of Moseley Park, Birmingham from Friday 5th until Sunday 7th July 2013 has been revealed as Bonobo.

Bonobo, aka Simon Green, is a UK-born, at times US-based, musician, DJ, and producer. Starting out on the Tru Thoughts label (that of Mostly Jazz, Funk and Soul alumni Quantic and Alice Russell), he's mainly released material through Ninja Tune (The Cinematic Orchestra, Roots Manuva). Bonobo's live set involves an eclectic collection of influences spanning trip-hop, jazz, and electronica.

Previously confirmed were Sunday headliners Chic feat. Nile Rodgers who will be supported by Soul II Soul Sound System, Craig Charles is confirmed for Saturday, with Stubborn Heart, and Troumaca joining Bonobo on Friday.

The festival will have two stages side by side, the second of which will feature up and coming talent. There will also be films, artist talks, music workshops, jazz dance performances, live comedy and spoken word.

An early bird adult day ticket is priced at £35 for Friday, and £37 for Saturday or Sunday, and weekend tickets are priced at £85. Tickets for children aged 12-15 years (when accompanied by a paying adult) are priced at £15 for a Friday, Saturday or Sunday day ticket, or £35 for a weekend ticket. Children aged under 12 go free when accompanied by a paying adult. Family weekend (£180) and two day ticket options are also available.
