Dexys show in the Anglican Cathedral, and a performance by Enter Shikari lead the latest line-up announcements for Liverpool Sound City taking place this May.

Also announced for the line-up today are Thee Oh Sees, Mount Kimbie, Future Of The Left, AlunaGeorge, King Krule, Darkstar, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Outfit, Solely, Theme Park, Amateur Best, Marmozets, Hacktivist, Mind Enterprises, Dan Croll, Brolin, and a label showcase from Double Denim Records.

The first acts confirmed are The Walkmen, Reverend And The Makers, Toy, Egyptian Hip Hop, Murkage, Chapel Club, Fossil Collective, 1975, Hawk Eyes, Swim Deep, and The Family Rain.

Social media manipulator Jon Morter whose campaigns include 'Rage Against The X Factor' and 'Justice Collective' for UK Christmas No.1, and save BBC 6 Music, as well as creating the 'Condescending Corporate Brand' will also be providing a witty and perceptive look at social media engagement for bands and brands.

The first two Q and A's have also been announced and feature Marine Girls founder Tracey Thorn in-conversation with writer Dave Haslam, and The Wombats with lead singer and guitarist Murph and the bands manager Simon Bobbet who has been with them since the beginning.

Liverpool Sound City returns for three days and nights from Thursday 2nd to Saturday 4th May 2013 and is held at multiple venues and spaces in Liverpool's cultural quarter.

Alongside live performance Liverpool Sound City also hosts a 'Convention' each year which focus is on bringing together a vast array of creative and digital industries business professionals, artists, music, film and art fans to enjoy today's best new music and chart the future course of the music, digital and creative industries.

As part of Sound City film offer the festival is collaborating with the Foundation for Art and Creative Technology on the art of pop video, giving young film directors in the North West that chance to produce the next video for emerging local act Outfit.

Sound City wristbands allow entry to ALL Liverpool Sound City 2013 branded gigs on a first come first served basis subject to the individual venues capacity. Please note some gigs will be either 14+ or 18+ only.

Liverpool Sound City also features conferences and panels with seasoned veterans and younger voices, the commemorative John Peel World Cup, and legendary keynote speakers and special guests.
