New Model Army, and Ned's Atomic Dustbin have been added to the Friday line-up at the sixth Bearded Theory.

Also recently confirmed for the Main Stage on Saturday is Ruts DC finalising the day and the The Lancashire Hotpots join the Sunday bill. The final act to complete the main stage line-up and playing before Levellers on the final day will be announced early in January.

Next year's Sunday morning opening slot in Tornado Town is occupied by Australian band The Beards whose beard revolution music has, according to organises, taken Australia by storm.

Bearded Theory will add a new stage in the campsite next year, the new late night venue will host everything from Reggae DJs, Indie Disco, up & coming talent, cookery workshops, cabaret and comedy. The stage will be located in a large marquee incorporating a Thornbridge bar, chill out cafe, picnic area and garden. The first acts to be announced for this unnamed stage is Shanks Pony, Pete Jackson, and Jolly Jock.

Bearded Theory which takes place from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th May 2013 at Kedleston Hall Park, Derby, in Derbyshire and offers a large childrens area, site art, random happenings, and more. Every year Bearded Theory attempts to break the world record for the most amount of people wearing a fancy dress beards in one place and at one time.

Reverend And The Makers' Asian Dub Foundation, and Levellers will headline with Karine Polwart, Seth Lakeman, The Farm, Macka B, The Quireboys, Citizen Fish, New Groove Formation, ahab, Zombie Met Girl, The Men That Will Not Be Blamed For Nothing, Buster Shuffle, Left Step Band, Port Erin, Boot Hill All Stars, Far Cue, Pussycat & Dirty Johnsons, 18 Nightmares at the Lux, and more. The festival will have bands, DJs, and comedians across four main stages.

Organisers are tweaking the festival to make it better and will be introducing some new attractions next year.

They are adding a small children's playground area surrounded by picnic tables into the Angels Family Camping area in 2013 and will open up a new field especially for caravans and trailer tents.

Organisers say ticket are selling well and they are very close to selling out of live in vehicle/caravan passes. Please note that they are not allowing tents into the campervan field next year unless accompanied with a campervan and are no bigger than a 2 man tent. Campervans bringing a tent will not be allowed to erect an awning.

A weekend camping Thursday ticket is priced at £89, and camping from Friday is priced at £79. A 13-16 year old weekend ticket is priced at £40 or £45 including early entry Thursday, a child's aged 6-12 weekend tickets is priced at £10 whether for arrival on Thursday or Friday, children aged 5 and under are free and Family Tickets are priced at £230 (2 x adult & 2 x children) or £260 with Thursday entry. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. No day tickets will be released for sale for the 2013 festival.

There will a charge for car parking of £10. A live in vehicle ticket is priced at £25.

A joint ticket is available for both Bearded Theory, and the Spring Off The Tracks Festival held in Derbyshire on consecutive weekends in 2013. A joint entrance ticket to both Derbyshire festivals is priced at £125, and also includes the offer of discounted camping facilities between festivals at the home of Off The Tracks, the Donington Park Farmhouse Hotel, at Castle Donington. The Spring Off The Tracks Festival takes place from Friday 24th until Sunday 26th May 2013 at Park Farmhouse, at Castle Donington - a week after Bearded Theory.
