Nicola will also perform during the day as a special guest in the newly announced Creative Scotland Kaleidoscope Club in the new Kaleidoscope Fields which will this year include Healthy T and the Eco Village, festivalgoers will get a taste of everything from string quartets to physical theatre, solar powered films to urban dance, and watch a diverse range of performances across the weekend from talent from across the country, from ceilidh to classical music.

Nicola Benedetti said, "I am absolutely ecstatic to be playing T in the Park this year! What a wonderful opportunity to place classical music amongst more mainstream performances. It is always a thrill for me to perform back in Scotland and it can make such a difference to play in venues beyond concert halls."

Born in West Kilbride to a Scottish mother and an Italian father, Benedetti began violin lessons at the age of five and later studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School, and went on to become winner of the Classical BRIT Award for Young British Classical Performer in 2008.
