GuilFest adds Candi Staton, and Buzzcocks

More acts have been announced for the GuilFest line-up including the Main Stage, the Vive Le Rock Punk and Ska Stage, The Big Cheese Cave, and The Second Stage.

On Sunday the main stage will host American Soul and Gospel legend, Candi Staton for almost 60 years she has been entertaining crowds with her distinct version of Tammy Wynette's 'Stand By Your Man', plus 'Young Heart's Run Free', 'Nights on Broadway', and her anthemic 'You Got The Love'.

Godfathers of Punk-pop, Buzzcocks will be bringing their inimitable style to GuilFest will be headlining the returning Vive Le Rock Punk and Ska Stage on the opening night. Best known for enormous hits 'Orgasm Addict', 'Harmony In My Head', and of course the seminal classic 'Ever Fallen In Love (With Someone You Shouldn't've)'.

On Sunday punk rockers The Undertones bring their anthem 'Teenage Kicks' as headliners of the Vive Le Rock Stage. The band reformed in 1999 with Paul McLoone replacing vocalist Feargal Sharkey, and have since then released two original albums and performed several tours across the UK, Ireland, Europe and North America.

Californian Blues Rock/Soul artist Beth Hart will be entertaining crowds on The Main Stage on Friday Beth has collaborated with Slash, Deep Purple, Les Paul and Joe Bonamassa. GuilFest fans should expect a captivating live performance.

Also confirmed are alt. rockers Young Guns who headline The Big Cheese Cave on Sunday.

Whilst on the same day 'Scrumpy & Western' Somerset favourites The Wurzels return to GuilFest to perform on The Second Stage adding some good ol' fashioned cider drinking fun.

Previously confirmed for the line-up rolling into Guildford, Surrey from Friday 13th to Sunday 15th July 2012 are Olly Murs, Bryan Ferry, Jools Holland & His Rhythm and Blues Orchestra featuring Roland Gift, Tulisa, Jimmy Cliff, Gary Numan, Cher Lloyd, Tim Minchin, Chic featuring Nile Rodgers, The Straits, Nouvelle Vague and Skindred. The coming weeks will see lots more music announced for this year's festival which features twelve stages of live music, comedy and theatre hosting more than 200 acts. Alongside them there's a wealth of attractions designed to keep the whole family engaged for all three days. For the really young ones, there is the GuilFest Kidzone - featuring entertainers, rides, activities and even guest VIP appearances from well known children's icons; whilst around the site you can enjoy food and drink from around the world, the 150ft bar featuring real ale, cocktail bars, arts and crafts, street performers and plenty more.

An adult weekend camping ticket is priced at £130, adult weekend tickets without camping are priced at £115, child (aged 12-15 years old) weekend with camping £80 and child weekend tickets without camping are priced at £65. A campervan ticket is priced at £60.

People aged 16 years and over at the time of the festival will have to buy an adult ticket. Anyone under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or over. Children aged 12-15 years old at the time of the festival will need to purchase a child's ticket. Children aged 11 years or younger at the time of the festival are admitted free accompanied by an adult with a valid ticket.
