The Black Keys to headline Oya festival

The Black Keys have been announced as the third headliner of this summer's Oya festival.

They join the previously announced headliners The Stone Roses and Bjork as part of the celebrations of the festival's 10th year. Also confirmed today are Bob Mould performing 'Copper Blue', Charles Bradley And His Extraordinaires, Ceremony, DaM-FunK, The Afghan Whigs, Factory Floor, First Aid Kit, Frank Ocean, Mazzy Star, SBTRKT, St Vincent, Tamikrest, The War on Drugs, and Thurston Moore

Plus Norwegian acts Beglomeg, Bushman's Revenge, Die A Legend, El Doom & The Born Electric, Håkon Kornstad Tenor Battle, Heyerdahl, Highasakite, Karpe Diem, Mathias Eick, Martin Hagfors, Maya Vik, Mikhael Paskalev, Nekromantheon, Susanne Sundfør, and Young Dreams.

Oya Festival takes place in the Medieval Park, which is located in Gamlebyen, the oldest part of Oslo, in Norway, and happens from Tuesday 7th until Saturday 11th August 2012.

The pacts previous confirmed for the 60,000 capacity event are Florence + The Machine, Refused, A$AP Rocky, Nicolas Jaar, Feist, Årabrot, Nekromantheon, The War On Drugs, Bon Iver, Azealia Banks, Ane Brun, Jonas Alaska, Yelawolf, The Devil's Blood, Sudan Dudan, Mikhael Paskalev, Mirror Lakes, and The Good, The Bad And The Zugly. In total there are 200+ bands on 4 outdoor stages and in 30 clubs.

Amidst the festival area of trees, green grass and water, the festival is well equipped with stages, shopping streets and small shops serving food and drink. Festival goers can swim from one stage to another or take a short walk to the city centre of Oslo.

Øya is the most environmentally friendly festival in the country, boasting 100% ecological food and green ethics.
