Newton Faulkner will headline the opening night of this summer's GoldCoast Oceanfest which takes place from Friday 15th until Sunday 17th June 2012 at Croyde Bay, in North Devon.

Newton Faulkner (2)
Faulkner appeared at GoldCoast, as a surprise special guest in 2009. The gold-selling British singer-songwriter and musician rose to success following the release of his 2007 debut album 'Hand Built By Robots'. Newton is currently working on his third studio album, and will be at Oceanfest off the back of his UK spring tour.

The beach sports and music festival showcases ocean sports alongside live music with acoustic sets on Friday, and live bands from noon on Saturday until 11pm and on Sunday until 9pm. Previously announced acts are Saturday headliner Ben Howard, and his support Natty. More acts are to be announced. Watch this space.

Eco-projects and a celebration of the biosphere reserve also help to make it a festival with a conscience. All this adjacent to the fully licensed oceanside GoldCoast Arena hosting a Live Music Stage and Big Screen showcasing the international and local musical talents of more than 25 live acts over the weekend.

There will also a trade village with licensed bars and restaurants, demos, exhibitions, sampling, simulators and hospitality.

An adult ticket is priced at £40, child tickets (under 18) are priced at £30, a child under 6 years old ticket is priced at £1 (amximum 2 per family), and a family ticket (2 adults + 2 children) is priced at £100.
