Joan Armatrading will headline the Friday night of this year's Fairport's Cropredy Convention.

Also confirmed for the bill on Friday are Richard Thompson before joining Fairport on stage on Saturday, The Saw Doctors, and Tarras.

The annual festival of folk and rock music is held on the edge of the village of Cropredy, and run by Fairport Convention. This year's 32nd anniversary of the festival will take place from Thursday 9th to Saturday 11th August 2012.

Tickets for Fairport's Cropredy Convention go on sale in March 2012. As in previous years, the festival offers three-day (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) tickets, two-day (Friday and Saturday) tickets, and Saturday-only tickets.
