"This is a great early booking for us," said James Houston, festival director, "and is just one of the many big names to feature at Galtres 2012. We can look forward to a captivating, energetic and undeniably compelling live show from award-winning Seth Lakeman and his superbly talented band."
The other co-headlining Sunday act has not yet been announced, and nor has Friday or Saturday's headliners. The first confirmed acts joining Seth Lakeman are Martin Stephenson, Hope & Social, Littlemores, Virginia MacNaughton, Boss Caine, Jamie Brewer, Jon Gomm, Aelfen, Sarah Horn and James Cudworth, David McCaffrey and Roger Davies, Gypsy Dave Smith, and Holly Taymar.
The Galtres festival started out as a beer and cider festival that included local based musicians and has gone through a change over the last couple of years and is now considered more of a music festival that has some great locally produced beers/ciders on sale.
The family friendly festival will be taking place over three days this year on August bank holiday weekend, from Friday 24th to Sunday 26th August once again at Crayke, near York, Yorkshire.
In January an adult ticket is priced at £90, child (aged 5 -17 years) tickets are priced at £35, a family ticket (2 adults and up to three children) is priced at £250. Day tickets are priced at £50 for adults. Please note that prices will go up by £1 per ticket per week. To buy tickets, click here.
